Evaluation Conference “Focus on Results: European experience and prospects for Greece”

In the framework of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Evaluation Unit of EYSEKT participated in the organization of the Evaluation Conference “Focus on Results: European experience and prospects for Greece”, along with the Planning and Evaluation Unit of the Special Service for Strategy, Planning & Evaluation of Development Programmes of the Hellenic Ministry for Development and Competitiveness, and the Evaluation Unit of the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
The Evaluation Conference took place at a time when the Member-States are finalizing (or negotiating) their new OPs and aim for sound result oriented approaches in them. With this new challenge at hand, it became obvious that there's a huge potential in learning through joint efforts and exchange of ideas in several themes that are common to all ESI Funds.
The conference facilitated the exchange of ideas in topics of mutual interest in the field of evaluation, such as the role of evaluation in the new Programming Period, the new challenge that is being created by the result – oriented approach and also the implications for strategic programming.
