ESF equips the human capital with the necessary skills so that it can respond to shifting conditions within the labour market, placing emphasis though on supporting target groups that are most in danger of losing their jobs or in danger of social exclusion, such as: Young people entering the labour market for the first time, disabled people, immigrants, minorities, long-term unemployed and older workers, women who find it difficult to enter the labour market because of their engagement in the care of dependent people (children and elderly).
