EU Roma Network partners meet in Athens

The European Network on Roma Inclusion under ESI Funds (EURoma Network) has been working since 2007, bringing together public authorities responsible for Roma policies and those responsible for ESI Funds from 15 EU Member States, as well as the European Commission, with the aim of improving the use of ESI Funds for the promotion of the social inclusion, equal opportunities and fight against discrimination of the Roma community.

 
The latest meeting of the Network took place in Greece, co-organized by EYSEKT and the Special Secretariat on Roma Inclusion (National Roma Contact Point). It was held in Athens on 27 and 28 June (Novotel Hotel).

 

In addition to Network members, the meeting was attended by representatives of the European Commission and other competent bodies, as well as Roma representatives. The meeting was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity, Mrs Theano Fotiou, the Roma Special Secretary Mrs Katerina Giantsiou, the General Director of PA National Coordination Authority Mr Ioannis Firbas, and the Head of EYSEKT Mr Dimitris Troulakis.
