"Youth on the Move" in Kalamata 11-13/9/2014

"Youth on the Move" is a European Union initiative which aims to improve the education and employability of young people through mobility. Relevant information campaigns are carried out since 2010, traveling in more than 20 Member States.
 
In Greece, such events have already been realized in Patra, Ioannina and Volos, while from 11 to 13 September 2014 "Youth on the Move” will be in Kalamata.

Specifically, a three-days event will be organized starting on 11 September at 19.00 at the central waterfront of Kalamata.

Young people, will be able to learn about employment, education and vocational training opportunities provided by the European Union in Greece or abroad and to discuss with other young people who have benefited from them. The national agencies and organisations that will participate are: European Social Fund (Special Services of the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Education), Municipality of Kalamata, EC Representation and European Parliament, Erasmus +, Eurodesk, Euraxess, Europe Direct,  ASSET Technology, E.O.P.P.E.P., OAED/EURES.

Particularly with regard to the European Social Fund, visitors will have the opportunity to be informed about the co-funded programmes implemented under the NSRF 2007-2013 and those planned for the new programming period 2014-2020, with particular emphasis on programmes for unemployed young people.
 
The event will include presentations and various entertainment activities.
